To Charge Light:
Solar
- Place solar lantern bottle &/or solar top in sunlight.
- Avoid prolonged direct sunlight if possible. This may overheat the panels & cause damage.
- Charge time by solar varies based on amount of sun, time of day & other natural factors such as clouds, angle of the sun, etc.
- Ensure solar panel is clean to allow for maximum sun absorption
For best results, remember to leave light in the sun when possible to reduce overall charge time & to ensure the battery can be “topped up” whenever possible.
USB Port
- Gently remove water/dust plug from USB port on lid.
- Plug one end of the provided USB cord into the USB port. Both ends are the same & work interchangeably.
- Plug the other end of the USB cord into a wall charger, car charger, power bank, computer/laptop or any other device with a power output USB port.
- The USB power supply should be between 1-2 amps. Use a 2-amp port for faster charging.
- A red blinking LED will light up under the solar lid during charge mode. Light turns solid red when fully charged
- Once fully charged, remove USB cord & ensure the water/dust plug is properly returned to plug the USB port.
Using The Bottle:
- Press power button to turn on light. Continue to press power button to cycle through light settings & to turn light off.
- To remove the lid, spin the top counter clockwise (to the right) & turn until lid comes off.
- Remove the inner & outer collar to allow for more flexibility at the opening to fit slightly larger items in the bottle. DO NOT excessively stretch the opening!
- Once items are in the bottle, place the collars back in the bottle.
- Set the lid evenly back on the bottle & carefully twist the top clockwise until it’s snug.
- Please note that due to the flexibility of the silicone bottle, the bottle can easily bend. Hold the center ring on the bottle for better stability.
- If the lid is having troubles closing, try to briefly turn the lid counter clockwise to “set the threads” on the lid & then resume turning the lid in a clockwise motion until snug.
- Tighten snug but DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN!
- Expand or compress the bottle to the desired size WITH the lid loosened or off.
- Different levels of expansion can provide different lighting options.
- Use a carabineer or alike to attach the bottle to a backpack or to hang it.
- Carefully pry off one end of the handle to hang the bottle without a hook, carabineer, etc.
Troubleshooting
Light Won’t Charge:
- Ensure solar panel is clean & there is moderate sunlight
- Verify the solar panel is not damaged
- Ensure USB port & cord are clear of dirt or other obstruction
- Check USB cord for cracks, tares, cuts, exposed wires or damaged ends
- Ensure both ends of cord are connected properly
- Try a different plug and/or outlet
- Try to charge a device with the light to ensure the light’s USB port is functioning. If it charges the device, the USB cable for charging the bottle may be damaged or the power source may be malfunctioning.
Care & Maintenance:
- Hand wash lid only. DO NOT submerge lid. Ensure water/dust plug is sealed before bringing near water
- Use microfiber tip to clean out USB port if needed. Avoid soap & water in USB port
- The bottle may be hand washed or TOP RACK in dishwasher.
- Again…DO NOT submerge lid or put in dishwasher
